Privacy notice
In short: Intelligent Payroll has no accounts, forms, cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party scripts. The only personal data involved is the technical request data that any web host records when you load a page, and anything you choose to send us when you report an error.
1. Who is responsible
The controller of personal data processed through this website is:
The maintainer of the public GitHub repository ankitbansal2k-ui/payroll-atlas (the "Operator").
Contact: GitHub Issues
This notice applies to this website and its pages. It is written to meet the transparency requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
2. What we process, why, and on what basis
Technical request data
When you load a page, your browser sends a request to our hosting provider. The request, and the provider's server logs, can include your IP address, the date and time, the address of the page requested (including any ?country= part of a shared link), the type of browser and device, and the page you came from. Our hosts use this to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse.
- Basis: our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We believe this has little impact on you, because we do not combine it with other data, profile you or use it for marketing.
- Who holds it: the hosting providers named in section 3. We do not build a visitor database. We may see limited technical logs through the hosting dashboard when fixing problems or investigating abuse.
- How long: according to each provider's own retention schedule. We do not export or keep these logs ourselves.
Messages you send us
If you report an error or contact us, we process what you send (for example your GitHub username and the content of your message, or your email address and message) in order to read it, reply and correct the site.
- Basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the information accurate and answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- How long: only as long as needed to handle your message, and a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up. Issues posted on GitHub are public and remain until they are deleted; please do not put personal or confidential information in them.
What we do not do
- We do not set cookies and we do not use browser storage (local storage, session storage or similar).
- We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, social-media widgets or fingerprinting.
- We do not load fonts, scripts, maps or images from other companies: the site serves everything itself, so your browser contacts no third party when you open a page.
- Searching and filtering happen in your browser and are not sent to us.
- We do not sell personal data, and we do not make automated decisions about you or profile you.
3. Who receives data
Vercel Inc. serves this site. GitHub also hosts the source code and the public issue tracker. These providers handle request data on our behalf as hosting providers and, for GitHub accounts and issues, as controllers under their own notices:
- Vercel: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
- GitHub: GitHub General Privacy Statement
We do not share personal data with anyone else, except where the law requires it or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
4. Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Vercel and GitHub are US companies, so request data may be processed in the United States. Each states in its own privacy notice that it complies with the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and uses other lawful transfer mechanisms, such as standard contractual clauses, where needed. We reviewed those statements on 1 October 2026.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy (Article 15);
- have inaccurate data corrected (Article 16);
- have data erased in the circumstances set out in Article 17;
- restrict processing in the circumstances set out in Article 18;
- object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your situation (Article 21);
- receive data you provided in a structured, commonly used format where Article 20 applies.
To use these rights, open an issue on GitHub Issues that says only that you wish to make a privacy request (without personal details), and we will arrange a private way to continue. We will answer within one month, as the law requires, and we may need to verify who you are first. Because we hold almost no data about visitors, we will often be unable to identify a particular visit; we will tell you if that is the case.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the EU/EEA country where you live or work or where you think the problem happened. The authority for the controller named above is Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO) (uodo.gov.pl/en). You are not required to give us personal data to read this site, although your IP address is necessarily visible to the host when you connect.
6. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, loads no third-party code, and sets a strict content security policy. No system is perfectly secure, but the site holds no accounts or stored visitor data for an attacker to take.
7. Links to other sites
Each entry links to the official or professional page it is based on. Those sites are run by others and have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for them.
8. Children
The site is a professional reference for people who work with payroll and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this notice
If our practices change (for example, if analytics were ever added), we will update this notice before the change goes live and show the new effective date above. Earlier versions are available in the public change history of the source repository.
10. Contact
Questions and corrections: open an issue on GitHub Issues. Issues are public, so do not include personal or confidential information.
